Researching Our School History!
Year 2 have been researching the history of Milton Court Primary Academy. Did you know ...?
- The school was originally built in 1848, this makes Milton Court 172 years old.
- Only girls attended the school for the first 50 years until 1898 when a second building was added for boys.
- Steeped in history, the school was built on the same sight as the Milton Workhouse.
- 172 years on and the school still stands as an important pillar in the local community.
At Milton Court, we welcome boys and girls, we welcome all nationalities and celebrate each child as an individual. There are 8 different languages spoken in our school. As a school, we are proud to still be educating the children in this community 172 years on .
