Remote Learning offer

Home Learning Via Dojo and Microsoft Teams

We are aware that due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, some children and families will be affected by self-isolation periods. At Milton Court, no child will be without school work during such periods.

We have invested in the Reading Road Map scheme to ensure children have plenty of additional reading material, the PiXL times tables app to reinforce the positive progress made in Maths as well as the EPIC Bounce Back to School Programme which promotes good mental health and wellbeing at home as well as in school.

Most importantly, through our online communication app DOJO, daily work is being set that directly reflects what classes are working on in school. The assignments set can also be completed and submitted directly to class teachers online, no printing required. The teachers can grade and give feedback directly back to students.

Should a class bubble close, each class will have access to live lessons at home through Microsoft Teams. Every child has received log in details for Teams and have been shown how to use it in school. Please see the parents and pupil guidance below for more information on how to log in and access live lessons.

We have a collection of laptops available to loan to those students who do not have their own devices at home to access DOJO. We have data cards available for those parents who are experiencing wifi difficulties. Should your child have to isolate, you will be contacted by a member of the team to confirm if you require a laptop loan.

This ensures that your child will not fall behind in their learning and keeps them securely connected to our school community.
