1) You must report your childs absence from school under any circumstances – it is a key and basic safeguarding requirement.
2) If you are declaring that YOUR CHILD has symptoms of covid-19, please state clearly what symptoms and the date that they began. This information is very important. It is expected that following government guidance, you will organise a test for your child via 119 as soon as possible. The results of that test should be reported to us.
3) If you are declaring that your household is isolating because a family member has symptoms, again please be very clear about which family member and the date that they started displaying symptoms so we can calculate the correct isolation period. We would expect that following government guidance, the family member would be tested as soon as possible. Please inform us of that result. You would need to update us further if your child starts to display symptoms – again the date recorded is very important as it effects the isolation period. Should your child develop symptoms, they would then be eligible for testing, the results of that test should be reported to us.
We cannot stress enough how important it is that we receive this information from you – it will help keep our school community safe and well. Please call the office line on 01795 472972 to report all absences before registration
